A vibrant spirit of cultural exchange enveloped the Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) in Davao on August 2, 2023, as the distinguished Hwadoo Korean Art Troupe embarked on a momentous courtesy call and site tour. The visit deepened cultural ties between nations and set the stage for their pivotal involvement in the highly anticipated 13th Korea Festival scheduled for August 4, 2023.
In a remarkable gesture of camaraderie and shared traditions, the Hwadoo Korean Art Troupe graced RTC-KPVTC Davao with their presence. The delegation, consisting of esteemed members including Director Kim Young-Bae, Culinary Expert Kim Hyun-Ok, Jeollabuk-do Province Official Lee Kwang-Young, Photographer Sin Myeong-Sook, and Movie Director and JeonJu University Outpatient Professor Baek Jeong-min, partook in a courteous meeting with the Center Administrator and embarked on a site tour at the Training Center.
The visit of the Hwadoo Korean Art Troupe was made possible through the gracious invitation extended by Korean Overseas Volunteer Choi Gyong-Sik, underscoring the significance of collaboration in promoting cultural appreciation.
During their visit, the esteemed delegation gained insights into the operations and initiatives of RTC-KPVTC Davao, further enhancing their understanding of vocational training practices in the Philippines.
However, the primary purpose of the Hwadoo Korean Art Troupe’s visit was to contribute to the upcoming 13th Korea Festival, a highly anticipated event on August 4, 2023. The art troupe’s members are set to play a pivotal role as jury members for key competitions, including the Korean Food Contest, K-Singing Contest, K-Speech Contest, and K-pop Dance Contest.
