The Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) in Davao City held a welcoming program for the delegates from Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) at the Mini-theatre of RTC-KPVTC Davao last June 6, 2022.
The delegates arrived in the training center to undergo different trainings that will enhance their faculty’s technical skills and acquire national certifications. They were oriented about the school’s facilities and programs, as well as the enrollment process they need to undergo.
The welcome program was headed by Engr. Constantino B. Panes Jr., the Center Administrator of RTC-KPVTC, and was accompanied by the trainers of its different trade areas. The delegates from ZPPSU were headed by Prof. Revelino B. Sanchez, Director of the Department of Industrial and Technology Education (DITE).
The training programs that will be undertaken by the ZPPSU faculty are: (1) CNC Lathe Machine NC II, (2) CNC Milling Machine NC II, (3) Mechatronics Servicing NC II, (4) Mechatronics Servicing NC III, (5) Motorcycle Small Engine Servicing NC II, (6) Transport RAC NC II, (7) Tile Setting NC II, (8) Plumbing NC II, and (9) Construction Painting NC II. The training duration varies depending on the qualification, but the delegates will be staying in the dormitory facilities of RTC-KPVTC Davao for the entire training.
This linkage between RTC-KPVTC Davao and ZPPSU was made possible from the request of Prof. Sanchez to the Office of Regional Director (ORD) of TESDA Region XI for the conduct of the trainings, which happened once before already.
