The Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) program is a mandatory component of all Diploma programs under the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) Level 5, as mandated by TESDA Circular No. 018, Series of 2023: Omnibus Guidelines on SIL. This circular directs that Diploma trainees must undergo structured industry deployment with partner enterprises to bridge classroom-based learning and real-world practice. SIL ensures that trainees acquire relevant industry exposure, practical experience, and competency-based application of their skills in line with TESDA’s goal of producing job-ready graduates.
