Trainees from nine (9) Diploma of Technology Programs of TESDA XI – RTC-KorPhil, Davao attended the SIL Pre-Deployment Program on April 26, 2022 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Regional Training Center.
The event started with a registration as their attendance is the basis for the deployment on May 2, 2022. Mr. Jestony Mark P. Aprong, Senior TESD Specialist, acknowledged and welcomed the guests. After which, diploma trainees were informed by Mr. Nelson Z. Embat, MTE about the roles and responsibilities of the trainees in their respective industries along with the Supervised Industry Learning Deployment Procedures.
Safety Measures for the New Normal at the Workplace was also discussed by Ms. Angelli C. Emborgo, RN, Center Nurse. Trainees were taught on what role they should play to protect themselves and each other so as to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
Moreover, trainees got the privilege to register in the Social Security System (SSS) as an SSS Registration booth was set-up for the participants. Ms. Greta Fe E. Quayle, the Account and Information Officer of SSS, shared to the group the SSS Benefits.
Ms. Ian Kristina Diao, PESLA and JobStart Focal of PESO Davao, also gave helpful Job Orientation tips to the trainees. Ms. Diao also simulated a Job Interview activity. She tested the trainees’ skills pertaining different situations that they might encounter during their industry deployment.
Trainees are expected to be equipped with the knowledge needed in their respective and assigned industries.
