The Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao officially welcomed 25 new entrants of the Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Technology (DHRT) program during the Training Induction Program (TIP) held at the Center’s Seminar Room on October 15, 2025, from morning until afternoon.
The activity served as an orientation for the new trainees, covering essential topics such as the Center’s profile and training system, scholarship duties and benefits, admission and grading system, guidance counseling, and the assessment and certification process. Discussions also included competency-based training, the learning management system, research and development, and gender and development orientation.

Engr. Constantino B. Panes, Jr., Ed.D., Center Administrator of RTC-KPVTC Davao, welcomed the trainees and emphasized discipline, dedication, and excellence as key values in pursuing their diploma journey. The program concluded with a message of encouragement from Engr. Efren T. Ojeda, Supervising TESD Specialist, who urged the trainees to make the most of their learning opportunities at the Center.

These trainees compose the only freshman batch among all the diploma programs of RTC-KPVTC Davao, admitted under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) scholarship program. The successful conduct of the TIP reflects the Center’s continued commitment to delivering quality technical education and developing globally competitive, values-driven graduates in the hospitality sector.
Meanwhile, other qualified diploma recruits who had their enrollment deferred are invited to attend a Clarification Meeting on October 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Multi-purpose Hall for further instructions and guidance. The full list of qualified diploma recruits can be viewed on the official Center website at korphildavao.site.
