The Regional Training Center – Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC), Davao successfully conducted the Culmination Program of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) 2025 cum Strategic Planning on December 11–12, 2025 at Playa Del Rosario Resort, Baganga, Davao Oriental. The activity was held in line with the Center’s commitment to the Safe Spaces Act, Gender and Development (GAD) mandates, and the national advocacy to end VAW.
The symposium featured Mr. Carl Lorenz S. Luneta as the resource speaker. A Cum Laude Psychology graduate, he is currently an Administrative Assistant in the Recruitment Division of the Human Resource Management Office of LGU Tagum, where he supports career development and promotes a positive workplace culture. A mental health advocate and community lecturer, Mr. Luneta discussed “Men as Partners in Gender Equality: Breaking the Cycle of Violence,” emphasizing the important role of men in promoting respect, positive masculinity, and shared responsibility in preventing violence and creating safe, inclusive environments for women and all members of society.
As part of the activity, a strategic planning session was also conducted, led by Engr. Efren T. Ojeda, Supervising TESD Specialist, to review the results of the evaluation of Regional Director Tarhata S. Mapandi during her recent visit to the Center. The discussion aimed to assess institutional performance and identify action points to further strengthen programs, policies, and service delivery.
The two-day activity concluded with wellness programs and team-building activities that promoted mental health, collaboration, and employee well-being. The culmination program reaffirmed RTC-KPVTC Davao’s strong commitment to a VAW-free workplace and community, anchored on the theme “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines”.
