RTC-KPVTC Davao Competitors and Experts Prepare for the 2023 PNSC

The Regional Training Center – Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao is gearing up for the 2023 Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC), which is set to take place from March 27-31, 2023. With more than 150 competitors participating in 18 skills areas, RTC-KPVTC Davao is proud to represent Region XI in six skills areas, including Cooking, Electrical Installation, Graphic Design Technology, Mechatronics, Restaurant Services, and Welding.

The RTC-KPVTC Davao competitors have been working tirelessly with their expert mentors to prepare for this national competition with the utmost support of TESDA XI’s Organizing and Technical Committees. Each competitor has undergone rigorous training and preparation to hone their skills and perfect their craft. The competitors for the six skills areas are as follows:

  • Cooking: Angel Y. Toyongan with expert Marilou F. Coloma
  • Electrical Installation: Rod Vincent T. Gabatilla with expert Maribel B. Tero
  • Graphic Design Technology: Jurell P. Sierra with expert Raye Adrian A. Dayot
  • Mechatronics: Geral D. Tagalog and Victor C. Madelozo Jr. with expert Rhian Dhae B. Sarsaba
  • Restaurant Services: John Patrick Oledan with expert Mikko D. Rosell
  • Welding: Jan Marie C. Bentayao with expert Joseph I. Junio

The RTC-KPVTC Davao competitors are determined to showcase their skills and represent their region with pride. They are looking forward to the opportunity to compete at the national level and demonstrate their expertise in their respective fields.

Overall, the TESDA XI delegation, led by Acting Regional Director Rey M. Cueva, will participate in 14 out of 18 contest areas in the 2023 PNSC, with 6 coming from RTC-KorPhil and the rest from various TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs) and private TESDA accredited Technical-Vocational Institutions (TVIs) across the Davao Region.

The participants of the upcoming national competition are anticipated to put in great effort and demonstrate their highest level of performance at the PNSC. They are filled with enthusiasm, as winning a gold medal at this event will provide them with the opportunity to represent our country in the upcoming 2023 WorldSkills ASEAN Competition, which will be held in Singapore later this year.
