In a momentous event on July 7, 2023, the Regional Training Center – Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center in Davao became the venue for the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region XI and the Davao City Alliance for Out-of-School Youth Development (DCAOSYD). This event also included the induction ceremony of TVET Association Officers for Davao City and Davao del Sur. The primary objective of this gathering was to strengthen partnerships, promote skills development, and empower the out-of-school youth in the region.

The signing of the MOU between TESDA XI and DCAOSYD represents a collaborative partnership focused on the holistic development of out-of-school youth in Davao City. Mr. Robinson Wee, TESD Adviser of USAID Opprtunity 2.0, also shared his thoughts on behalf of Ms. Nancy Wallace, highlighting the role of USAID Opportunity 2.0 in supporting inclusive growth through technical assistance to TESDA and the promotion of public-private partnerships.
Following all the messages from key representatives, the MOU signing took place, signifying the commitment and shared goals of TESDA and DCAOSYD. The MOU outlines specific areas of collaboration, including the development of training programs, curriculum enhancement, and the provision of scholarships for out-of-school youth. Simultaneously, the induction ceremony for TVET association officers for Davao City and Davao del Sur was held.
