Celebrating Diversity: RTC-KPVTC Davao’s 14th Korean Festival

RTC-KPVTC Davao celebrated the vibrant colors and rich traditions of Korean culture during its 14th Korean Festival held on March 7, 2024. The festival, a cherished tradition at RTC-KPVTC Davao, brought together personnel, staff, and trainees to immerse themselves in the beauty of Korean heritage and celebrate cultural diversity.

With Korean Overseas Volunteers (KOV) playing a significant role in the institution, the Korean Festival has become a hallmark event, fostering understanding and appreciation for Korean culture among the RTC-KPVTC Davao community.

This year’s festival, organized under the guidance of RTC-KPVTC Davao’s recent KOVs, Mr. Choi Gyong Sik and Mr. Im Kynguk, featured a series of engaging activities that showcased various aspects of Korean culture. Highlights included a Korean Speech Contest, where participants had the opportunity to showcase their language skills and understanding of Korean culture. Additionally, the festival featured lively performances such as KPOP Dancing and a KPOP Singing Contest, adding an element of excitement and entertainment to the celebration.

The festival served as a platform for cultural exchange and mutual appreciation, allowing attendees to learn more about Korean traditions while fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie within the RTC-KPVTC Davao community.
