Basic Customer Service Skill

The Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao took a significant step toward strengthening a positive and service-oriented workplace culture by conducting a Seminar on Basic Customer Service skills on September 23, 2025, at the RTC-KPVTC Davao Mini Theater. The activity aimed to enhance the professional conduct of personnel and reinforce ethical standards expected of public servants.

Mr. Nikko Carlo H. Buit, Human Resource Specialist II from the CSC Regional Office XI – Human Resource Division, shared his expertise on work ethics, professional conduct, and the customer service behaviors expected of government employees. The three-hour session (9:00 AM–12:30 PM) provided a comprehensive discussion enriched with an interactive question-and-answer session, enabling participants to seek clarifications and relate the learnings to their workplace experiences.

The seminar resulted in enhanced awareness of customer service standards, as participants gained a deeper understanding of ethical practices, professionalism, and client-centered approaches prescribed by the CSC. It will also contribute to improved workplace interaction, emphasizing that good customer service extends to colleagues through respect and professionalism.

The activity encouraged active engagement, with personnel participating in the discussions and showing commitment to applying the lessons in their respective roles. Furthermore, it reinforced alignment with CSC mandates, ensuring that the center’s practices are consistent with the evolving standards on workplace behavior and service excellence.

Finally, the event reflected RTC-KPVTC Davao’s commitment to continuous learning, demonstrating its dedication to fostering a positive workplace culture through staff development.
