79 Diploma Trainees of RTC-KPVTC Davao Receive Third Tranche of Training Support Fund

Seventy-nine (79) diploma trainees of the Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao received the third tranche of their Training Support Fund (TSF) on July 11, 2025, at RTC-KPVTC Davao under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) scholarship.

The release of the TSF was facilitated by the TESDA Davao City District Office (DCDO), headed by District Director Novielita A. Dispo, in coordination with RTC-KPVTC Davao. The financial assistance aims to support trainees in sustaining their academic and practical training requirements throughout their respective programs.

The breakdown of beneficiaries includes:

  • 21 1st Year 2nd Semester trainees of the Diploma of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Technology (DABET)
  • 19 3rd Year, 1st Semester trainees of the Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Technology (DHRT)
  • 39 1st Year, 2nd Year, and 3rd Year trainees of the Diploma in Automation and Mechatronics Technology (DIAMT)

The Training Support Fund helps cover essential training-related costs such as transportation, food, and basic daily needs—playing a key role in helping scholars complete their training without financial strain. This third tranche of TSF is the last they will receive for their semester in February 2025 to June 2025, which can be crucial in providing them support during their internship deployment or the Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) starting this July 2025.

Other diploma trainees will also receive their last tranche of TSF as soon as information from the TESDA DCDO about the availability of their checks arrives.
