Coffee enthusiasts personnel and staff of TESDA XI Regional Office gathered on March 7, 2025, for an immersive Barista Appreciation Course conducted by the Regional Training Center – Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC), Davao, in partnership with TESDA Regional Office XI. The event, held at the 3rd Floor Conference Room, aimed to refine the participants’ coffee-making skills and enhance their industry knowledge.
Guided by RTC-KPVTC, Davao’s expert trainer, Mr. Mikko Rosell, alongside his dedicated team, attendees delved into the fundamentals of professional barista work. The training covered crucial aspects such as espresso extraction, milk frothing techniques, and accurate coffee measurements. A hands-on approach allowed participants to apply these skills in real-time, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
A special highlight of the event was the empowerment of women in the coffee industry, as female participants gained valuable skills that could lead to future career opportunities.
