RTC-KPVTC, Davao Strengthens ASEAN Ties with MTCP Automotive Training

The Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao proudly hosted the Closing Ceremony of the Automotive Basic Vehicle Maintenance Training under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) on August 22, 2025, held at its mini-theater.

The training, organized by Malaysia’s Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training (CIAST), was conducted at RTC-KPVTC Davao’s Diploma in Automotive Technology (DAT) practical area. It equipped participants with essential automotive maintenance skills while fostering stronger international cooperation in Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The ceremony was graced by YBrs. Ts. Zuleah binti Darsong, Director General of Malaysia’s Department of Skills Development, alongside representatives from the Consulate General of Malaysia in Davao, RTC-KPVTC officials, and partner institutions.

Four trainees from RTC-KPVTC Davao’s Diploma in Automotive Technology program also took part in the training, gaining valuable hands-on learning opportunities and exposure to international standards.

Following the Closing Ceremony, YBrs. Ts. Zuleah binti Darsong, together with the representatives from the Consulate General of Malaysia in Davao, conducted a site tour of RTC-KPVTC Davao’s training facilities, further highlighting the institution’s capacity to deliver quality, industry-responsive technical education.

By hosting this international initiative, RTC-KPVTC Davao reaffirmed its role as a hub for technical excellence and global collaboration, strengthening its mission to produce highly skilled and globally competitive graduates through meaningful partnerships across ASEAN.
