Sixty-seven graduates of the 3-Year Diploma Program proudly received their diplomas as the Regional Training Center – Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao held its 2025 Commencement Exercises on April 25, 2025. The event became more than a graduation—it was a celebration of resilience, skills, and the promise of a future workforce ready to make its mark both locally and globally.
The milestone ceremony, held at RTC-KPVTC Davao’s Multi-purpose Hall, honored graduates from various specialized fields: 22 in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Technology, 10 in Automotive Technology, 14 in Civil Engineering Technology, 7 in Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration Technology, 3 in Mechanical Engineering Technology, and 11 in Welding Technology.
More than the conferral of diplomas, the event recognized the grit and determination of students who completed a rigorous three-year program aligned with the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) Level 5. These graduates are now poised to enter the workforce as globally competitive professionals—equipped not just with technical skills but with the values of perseverance and excellence.
Distinguished guests and partners lent prestige to the ceremony. Among them were TESDA XI Regional Director Ramon Evan T. Ruiz, RTC-KPVTC Davao, TESDA Davao City District Director Ms. Novielita A. Dispo, represented by Ms. Araceli R.
Guazon. and TESDA XI FASD Chief Ms. Liza P. Panuela, together with key industry partners who reaffirmed their continued support and partnership with the institution.
One story stood out among the many triumphs: Ms. Elvira Durano, a 59-year-old graduate of Diploma in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Technology, captured hearts with her inspiring journey. Fondly called the “mother” of the batch, she walked alongside other trainees who are decades younger than her, proving that education transcends age. Her success became the emotional centerpiece of the program, embodying the spirit of lifelong learning.
The program brimmed with meaning and emotion—highlighted by the awarding of medals, certificates, and plaques to top achievers and industry partners, heartfelt tributes to parents, a loyalty pledge from graduates, and the symbolic singing of the “TESDA Way.”
For RTC-KPVTC Davao, the Commencement Exercises are more than a closing chapter—they are a testament to the institution’s mission of transforming lives through quality, industry-driven education. For the Class of 2025, it marks the beginning of a new journey—one where their skills and perseverance will help build stronger communities and a stronger nation.
