A total of 605 trainees from the Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao recently received the second tranche of their Training Support Fund (TSF) on May 26, 2025, providing vital financial assistance to support their technical-vocational education.

The TSF distribution was led by Ms. Yvonne Louise O. Micabalo, Finance Officer of the TESDA Davao City District Office (DCDO), together with the Scholarship Focal of RTC-KVPTC Davao, Mr. Joie Vincent R. Dagohoy.

The recipients were under three scholarship programs of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA): 558 trainees are under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) currently enrolled in the diploma (long-term) programs of the center; 25 trainees were under the Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program (TTSP) who have finished their Events Management Services NC III training early this year, and; 22 trianees were under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) who have graduated in Support Horticultural Crop Work training late in October of 2024.

The Training Support Fund helps cover essential training-related costs such as transportation, food, and basic daily needs—playing a key role in helping scholars complete their training without financial strain.

TESDA, in partnership with RTC-KPVTC Davao, remains committed to delivering accessible, high-quality technical education and contributing to a competent, job-ready Filipino workforce.
