On March 5, 2025, the Gravity Irrigators Sustainable Agriculture Cooperative (GISACO) in Purok Molave, Brgy. New Visayas, Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte, successfully hosted a profiling activity for the Rice Machinery Operations (RMO) NC II qualification, aimed at enhancing agricultural mechanization and training local farmers.
Key personnel from the Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC), Davao, were present during the activity. Among them were Mr. Joie Vincent R. Dagohoy, Scholarship Focal, and Engr. Lougino Miguel, head trainer of the Diploma in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Technology (DABET). Mr. John Rome Balbanida, designated RMO NC II trainer, will spearhead the upcoming training sessions. Ms. Rudelyn Babaylan from the Registrar’s Office ensured that proper documentation and records were maintained, while Mr. Clark Von Capul managed logistics for the event.
Representing GISACO, Ms. Jennifer Cedeño played a crucial role in coordinating the event and facilitating the participation of local farmers. The profiling activity assessed eligible participants, equipping them with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience necessary for national certification.
